It started in the summer of 2006 and was mostly funded by RAMP grants. This series honors the memory of Len Allen, formerly known as “Mr. Ogden”.
Len was always promoting Ogden from the airwaves of KLO Radio and did many community service projects. In the 1950’s Len was the MC for the Saturday morning kids shows at The Egyptian Theater. They had cartoons, serial movies and a bicycle give-a-way.

Peery's Egyptian Theater features the original Mighty Wurlitzer Organ--1,400 pipes, chest work, percussions, blower, and all elements of the winding system--manufactured in the 1920s.
Along with the original features, several state-of-the-art modern upgrades make this instrument a premier sound experience. Our Conover/Heath Theatre Organ Series hosts several concerts every year featuring the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ.

The Egyptian Theater Foundation sponsors an annual International Music Concert. The last two were musical groups from India who are well known in World Music circles. Both concerts sold out and were a spectacular success. We offer the community an opportunity to enjoy the music of the international community and to experience the Egyptian Theater as a performing arts center as well as a movie palace. |
